CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — 3NEWS received new video of the crane incident at the site of the new Harbor Bridge that sent debris plummeting to the ground at Corpus Christi Hook's game last month.

The incident happened at Whataburger Field, where a spectator was injured, reportedly by debris and sent to the hospital.

3NEWS reviewed the video that we requested from the Port of Corpus Christi that is giving a better picture of the crane incident.

There are multiple cameras pointed in the direction of the new Harbor Bridge. 3NEWS zoomed into the the area of focus, where someone appeared to be running from the work area before the bucket crashed, sending up a plume of smoke. Another camera shot showed the fireball that followed, the incident taking place back on April 22.

Nearby spectators at Whataburger Field said that night they were shocked by what they saw. A woman who was reportedly injured by flying debris spent three days in the ICU, according to her attorney.

3NEWS reached out to Flatiron Dragados for comment following the release of the video. The developer told 3NEWS that the investigation into the incident is ongoing. Port of Corpus Christi police officers were also contacted to two vehicles in the area that sustained damage due to flying debris.
